The Monterey Peninsula was first introduced to auto racing in 1950 with the inauguration of the Pebble Beach Road Races. In 1957, the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca was built to accommodate the increasing interest in the sport. The introduction of the Trans Am, AMA motorcycles, CART Indy Car racing and Grand Prix Motorcycling increased the popularity of racing at the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Today, the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, formerly known as the Laguna Seca Raceway, has played host to some of the most famous races in history.

Laguna Seca Track

WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca is a paved 2.2 mile track featuring 11 hairpin turns. The track is world-renowned for its famed, challenging "Corkscrew" turn.

Racing Events

The WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca is home to a full line-up of racing events. Gear up for the Ferrari Challenge showcasing the impressive and elegant Ferrari 458 Challenge. The Monterey Sports Car Championships is a part of the American LeMans Series. It is known as one of the first major racing series to use "street legal" alternative fuels. Other WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca events include the Concours d'elegance, Moto GP and the monthly Twilight Rides just for bicyclists.
