The main event is the Basilica Church, which is a National Historic Landmark. A myriad of artifacts are on display in the Harry Downie Museum and Munrás Family Heritage Museum while a rotating art exhibit is the highlight of the Jo Mora Gallery. In addition, there are tours of the Carmel Mission, including the grave site of Father Junipero Serra, the leader of the California mission movement.
