Amazing property and great views

Perfect location and right by the water. Very walkable from the hotel and surprisingly big room that was nice for the price. Great stay and would definitely be back again!

The room was soooo clean when we arrived, the bring up breakfast at your desired time you can even choose what you want from a form they have you hang on the door! The views were amazing we got the harbor view and waking up to the sound of seals and ocean waves was soothing and relaxing, the walk to cannery row and the aquarium is so quick too and it’s not even hot so stretch your legs and walk everywhere we did and we loved everything we were able to find and see!! There’s also tons of classic cars the start their cruise down cannery row right outside the hotel! we’ll be back for our next vacation out here for sure thank you for your amazing hospitality and kindness all hotel staff!!

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. When we decided to extend our stay by an extra night, our harbor-view room wasn't available for the additional night, but they went out of their way to make it work so we didn't have to switch rooms. We really appreciated that! Parking was also very reasonably priced at $25, especially compared to other hotels in the area. The room itself was spacious, the bed was very comfortable (firm, just how we like it), and the harbor view was absolutely perfect. We were a little concerned after reading reviews about the sea lions being noisy, but we actually loved hearing them from the balcony! Once the balcony door was closed, we couldn't hear them at all, and they never disturbed our sleep. One of our favorite perks was the complimentary binoculars available to guests—they were a fun touch for watching the harbor. And don't miss the sunrise from the fourth-floor rooftop terrace—it's absolutely beautiful! There were just a few minor things that could be improved. The hotel only has one elevator, and it can be quite slow during busy times. We also wish the freshly baked cookies were available throughout the day. They were put out around 3:00 p.m., but they disappeared almost immediately because they were so popular. When we arrived, our room temperature was around 78°F. We called the front desk to ask about the A/C and were told someone would come up. Security arrived and explained that the hotel doesn't have air conditioning, so the options are to use the fan or open the balcony door. It would have been helpful if the front desk had shared that information when we called. We left the screened balcony door open while we were out the next day, and the room cooled down nicely. The only other thing we wished the room had was a microwave. Overall, these were very minor issues compared to everything we loved about our stay. The location, views, comfortable rooms, and outstanding customer service made for a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!

This is one of our first choices to stay in Monterey Bay. Always a great time and we look forward to returning again and again. Location is perfect for wildlife viewing (nesting cormorants, pigeon guillemots, pelicans, otters, sea lions, gulls, etc) and close access to water sports such as scuba diving, fishing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. The complimentary, delivered to room, breakfast was nice for those of us who just want to take in all the beauty outside our bay view balcony. (Even as I write this I want to be there.) Staff was welcoming, attentive, and professional. Highly recommend.

Staff were very helpful and quick to respond to extra items needed. The location was amazing! For us we arrived on a Tuesday and did not move our car again until checkout on Friday. Everything we did from the Aquarium, whale watching tour, Cannery Row, beach access and of course a great selection of places to eat were all within walking distance. The beach area close to the hotel had so many sea lions and babies it was like having our own Aquarium right there! They babies are adorable 😍 Definitely recommend paying a bit extra for a room with a balcony and ocean view, my personal favorite. Would definitely recommend this hotel for location, staff, and price point. We will be back!

Really great place. Parking plentiful though a little tight in the underground spaces, so make sure you can park well if you’ve a larger vehicle. Rooms feel deluxe with large bed, lovely balcony with potted geranium, and views over the harbour and seals/otters. Lovely bathroom and toilet behind a separate door. Also has complimentary breakfast to be brought to your room every morning. How glorious! Hot tub on the roof is fab - warm and clean and excellent views! Staff seem very friendly and helpful. They have pairs of binoculars to borrow behind reception (ask) so you can watch the wildlife from your balcony. Be warned that parking is an extra charge but all in all a really great hotel. Easy access to wharfs (for boat trips and kayak/bike hire) and easy walk to Cannery Row for food and gifts.

Right on the water, great views, plenty of sea animals all around to see.

Great location, friendly staff and the continental breakfast was just right to start our day.
