How long does the Monterey Bay Aquarium take to visit?
The Monterey Bay Aquarium is a window to the world’s oceans and features over 200 marine life exhibits. There’s a lot to see and do, so set aside about 3-4 hours to explore this world-famous Aquarium on Cannery Row. The Monterey Bay Aquarium also offers guides tours, shows, animal encounters and feedings, and a café, so you may need a few more hours to experience it all.
What are the best exhibits at the Monterey Bay Aquarium?
Monterey Bay Aquarium showcases 200 incredible exhibits with more than 80,000 animals from Monterey Bay and ocean’s around the world. Popular exhibits include Life on the Bay, Open Sea, Rocky Shores, Kelp Forest, and the Giant Pacific Octopus. See fierce sharks, penguins, jellies, and frolicking sea otters at this amazing attraction.
When are the live feedings?
Feedings at Monterey Bay Aquarium take place in the morning. Stop by the Sea Otter Exhibit at 10:30 and see how these playful creatures are trained and fed. You will also experience live feedings of the penguins in the Splash Zone Exhibit at 10:30 am and at 11:00 in the Open Sea Exhibit, the tuna and sharks chow down. All live feedings last 15 minutes.
