Great place to stay. Make sure you get a room with the ocean or harbor view. There was really nice lady at the front desk who was checking us in. We ask for extra blankets and we had them in less than 5 minutes. You can schedule your complimentary breakfast. Thanks

I stayed here with my man just a few days ago for a birthday trip to Monterey. Upon arrival and check in, Candito was so wonderful and helpful with suggestions for dinner. He had a whole list of places to go. All of them within walking distance and everything from breakfast through late night bites, which we loved. Check out the Wave Street Cafe if you stay here! So good, we went there two days in a row. 😋 The room was great with a comfy bed and a cute private balcony overlooking the ocean. They provide binoculars in your room, which is pretty cool for a nature nerd like myself. The breakfast could be a bit better, but it comes complimentary with the room and is convenient for some coffee, tea, pastries and fruit. And they bring it to your room, so it’s a nice touch. The location is peaceful and very close walking distance to all the shops and the aquarium. We had a great time and can’t wait to visit again. 😄

We was on our honeymoon may 2018 expolosing the Westcott and we decided to stay 2 nights at this hotel. On arrival we were greeted by very happy and friendly staff. We had a bottle of champagne on the house and our room was huge with a balcony over looking the beautiful ocean. We had direct access to rooftop jacuzzi which was amazing. Easy walk to cannery row and aquarium. Really relaxing and welcoming. We would love to come back one day.

It was lovely to sit in the balcony watching the ocean waves while enjoying a nice glass of wine. The room was very comfortable and spacious.

Considering I knew what I was getting into (price), its hard to be disappointed. So i have to give it a 5, again, based on knowing what I was getting into. Lets face it, the place was built in the 30's. So if you are expecting modern day equivalent accommodations, you might be disappointed. I didn't expect it, so I wasn't. I picked it because I wanted a view to relax upon. Location was great, damn sea lions kept me up all night as they were barking 24/7. I just chalk that up as a once in a lifetime experience as they aren't normally there in mass like this. The staff was helpful. My room was clean and I didn't notice any issues like others did. Thin walls? Again the place was built in the 30's. Surprised its still there to be honest. Hard bed? My bed at home is on the stiff side. Pillows? A bit weak, but they do give you an option for different pillows. Breakfast wasn't anything to write home about but it was nice. Parking, this is where the age of the hotel comes in. The spaces are too small for modern cars. Saw a few trucks and sedans that did not fit in their spaces, but it is what it is. I would have no issues staying here again.

Just spent this past weekend there with my wife, the rooms were good and comfortable, we had a good view of the ocean from our room, there are a bunch of sealions on the beach making noise, but the hotel will give you earplugs so you can sleep, great location walking distance to cannery row, we will stay there again thanks for the service.

Quiet, inn stunning views across the bay towards fisherman's wharf and beyond. Basic but adequate breakfast, and very pleasant and helpful staff. Love listening to sea lions from the room.
