Wonderful hotel and great service. Alex gave us a very warm welcome and was helpful with restaurant recommendations, all of which worked out well. Housekeeping was good but maybe a little overzealous --- they changed our towels daily, despite our request not to. Very annoying, but not enough to spoil our stay. This really is a wonderful hotel in a great location.

we got a complimentary upgrade to the huge king room overlooking the water, and loved that the rooms included binoculars to watch the sea otters, sea lions, hawks, seagulls, tide pool critters, and swimming birds. the breakfast is tasty but on the small side as you only get to choose one (high quality) thing for free. great room and very clean!

We love Monterey Bay Inn. It is in walking distance to the wharf and aquarium and has a beautiful view. The staff is so kind and friendly. We will definitely be staying at Monterey Bay Inn every time we visit Monterey for our whale watching trips as a family.

We absolutely loved staying here on our recent trip to Monterey. I had originally booked a Cannery Row street room but was offered a ocean corner room with a balcony for a very reasonable upgrade price. We absolutely loved the room (220) and would highly recommend it as the view was spectacular! You could see the entire bay, the beach, and the pier as well as all kind of wildlife right from inside the room or on the balcony. That room was great as well as the balcony above provided cover when it rained and we were able to continue enjoying the view. We were provided with complimentary wine, for our anniversary, which was a nice touch. I would highly recommend this place if you are thinking of going to Monterey.
