My wife and I spent an impromptu weekend in Monterey. Our room had the bay view with a balcony, we left the sliding glass open and listened to the waves and sea lions all night. Surprisingly, it was relaxing. It's a short walk to the aquarium, about 15 mins down Cannery Row. Great desk service, 2 day tickets for the aquarium available and a self parking spot on site

Just spent 3 days at Monterey Bay Inn and it was amazing!! My husband and I go wanted a room with an ocean view and that’s exactly what we got, spectacular view from our room. Breakfast delivered to our room was awesome, such a little personal touch. Hotel is in perfect walking distance to Cannery Row and wharf. We will definitely be coming back and staying here again.

We spent last week at the Monterey Bay Inn and couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. Service was friendly and prompt, and the view was outstanding. We were in an ocean view room and were able to watch Sea Otters, Seals, Dolphin, and loads of sea birds right from our balcony. The binoculars in the room were a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable, and both of us really liked the continental breakfast delivered to the room each morning. Fruit, yogurt, pastries, hard boiled eggs and coffee were available, which was plenty for us. With the doors and shutters closed, we could still hear the light sound of the waves and the sea lions barking in the distance at night - but no traffic noise. We found this location to be very quiet, yet close enough to easily walk to the aquarium, tons of restaurants and Cannery Row. We would definitely stay again.

The Monterey Bay is a beautiful setting for a perfect view of the Bay in a very quiet neighborhood. It's easy to walk to a restaurant, and you have lots of choices for where you would like to eat. We had a lovely room with a view of the Bay which was also very quiet. It couldn't have been more perfect!

We loved our summer weekend getaway at the Monterey Bay Inn! Our king ocean view room was very comfortable and we sat on our private balcony for hours on the ocean listening to the sea lions from the neighboring pier. All the special touches were included and, after being disappointed we had left our binoculars at home, we were most excited to find a pair in the room for viewing the otters and harbor seals close in the water! Room service breakfast was a nice touch! The staff was friendly and accommodating. The place has two hot tubs, one with a great ocean view, and a fire pit, but we also were impressed at how private it felt while being right on Cannery Row.

This was the third time we have spent an anniversary at the Inn. This time we stayed for four days and nights. We have returned every year because the atmosphere is so relaxing and the service impeccable. Beth at the front desk is an excellent host. The staff was always cheery and friendly. We will be returning next year for our thirty-eighth anniversary.

We came to Monterey for a night and found only one available room in the whole area. And what a room it was! We had an oceanfront room with an amazing view of the bay. Fell asleep and woke up to the sound of the waves and sealions. So peaceful. Spent a lot of time on the balcony.. The room was wonderful. Good size, comfortable bed and a huge bathroom. The shower had the best waterpressure I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. Extra plus for breakfast in the room. The service was also excellent. Highly reccommended.

We stayed at Monterey Bay Inn for our anniversary night during vacation to California. We found everything to be wonderful - staff was friendly, parking was easy upon arrival. Cookies and water are available in the lobby. Our room had a nice view of the ocean. We told them it was our anniversary and we were provided with a complimentary bottle of wine, chocolates and a card which was really nice. The hot tub on the 4th floor has an awesome view - we saw a sea otter and seals. Perfect location on cannery row - within walking distance of many stores and restaurants, as well as the aquarium. The complimentary breakfast was perfect and a nice touch! We would definitely return to this hotel if our travels found us in Monterey again.

I had fantastic views from my balcony and my room overlooking the harbor and Bay. There is also a very nice fountain just across the driveway in the sounds from the fountain and also the seals barking in the harbor is very peaceful and beautiful. The room was very clean and spacious. My only quibble is the towels. They are clean, but felt very rough on the skin. Maybe an upgrade is in order. First impressions are always important and in that vein I'd like to mention the wonderful service I received from Beth and Merle at the front desk. They were friendly, informative, and extremely helpful every time I contacted them. I always walked away feeling very positive about my experience. Kudos! And thank you.

The staff is extremely helpful and nice, and the rooms are very comfortable. This was our second stay here and this will be our top choice each time we visit the Monterey area.
