Lovely clean hotel, spectacular views, and wonderful staff. From our balcony, we could see the otters playing in the ocean. The hotel supplies binoculars. Breakfast served right to your room. A nice beach next door. What more could you ask for!

My husband and I stayed at the Monterey Bay Inn for three nights for our anniversary trip. We are so happy we chose this hotel! I booked an ocean harbor view with balcony, which was perfect. We loved the view of the harbor and the park, and having a balcony. We could hear sea lions barking in the distance. Every morning we were greeted by a beautiful sunrise. We could watch sea birds flying over the harbor, as well as the waves crashing onto the rocks and the beach. Everyone we came into contact with at the hotel was so kind and caring. Best of all, I had mentioned that this was our anniversary trip when I called to book the room. A bottle of wine, chocolates, and a sweet note signed by the staff were waiting in our room when we arrived. I will always treasure that they took the time to do that. I loved the room. The comfortable bed looks out toward the large sliding glass doors, so we could see the view by just sitting up. I also liked the bathroom. The toilet is in a small room separate from the double sinks and the shower. The location couldn’t be better. We walked easily to Old Fisherman’s Wharf, as well as to the aquarium. The beach was right next door. They will deliver a light breakfast to your room at the time that you ask them to. (You fill out a card and leave it outside the door with your choices). A friendly associate brought the breakfast right on time both mornings we asked for the service. We adored this hotel! If we ever come to Monterey again (and we definitely want to) we will absolutely stay here again.

Our overall experience was amazing. The staff was extremely helpful, nice, and accommodating. Great location, near everything, and walkable to the main areas. Right across from the bike rental and had a fantastic ride along the 17 mile drive. Parking was easy. Had the harbor view and could hear the seals but not enough to disrupt our sleep. Enjoyed waking up looking over the water and harbor. Made our anniversary and my birthday even more special. Would definitely stay here again

ocean view room was absolutely wonderful! We also enjoyed a bottle of wine and chocolates which was a gift from the hotel staff for our wedding anniversary. Very nice touch!

Top notch service for a small hotel. Great views from the room of the beach, ocean and harbor. We saw and heard seals from our room. The room had binoculars we used to see all sorts of nature. They have covered parking, housekeeping, breakfast delivered to the room (hard boiled eggs,fruit,pastries, coffee,milk,orange juice) at a time you pick. We walked to the main cannery row a few times. They have 2 hot tubs 4th floor and 2nd floor small but clean and powerful jets. The bathroom has 2 sinks and a separate room for the toilet. Plenty of towels a large closet with a safe. What a great place for a great time. We will be back!
