We found the Monterey Bay Inn after an unfortunate experience with another hotel and last minute found this hidden gem. Rooms were spacious, clean and the views are outstanding. My kids watched the sea lions, birds, otters, whales and lots of boats for hours on the balcony. The breakfast delivered to our room every morning was great and the service staff is so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone looking for a great place on Cannery Row.

The outside of this property may look a little plain in the pictures, but the rooms are lovely. We had a private balcony from which we could hear the surf crashing and view the bay with its marine life. We spotted at least one otter each day, and on the morning of our departure there was a regular "otter party" of 9 within sight. Each room has a pair of binoculars to help with viewing. You can have coffee or tea delivered to your room each morning along with continental breakfast. That was fine for me but my husband prefers a heartier breakfast, which we found elsewhere. Also, the bread served with the continental breakfast was mostly sweet rolls, which I do not care for. If we return to Monterey, we would definitely choose this place again!

I stayed at the Monterey Bay Inn on a college trip with my son. We happened upon this place when we made a last minute change in plans. The Inn is wonderful. Bethany at the desk felt like a long term friend - ensuring we had everyone we needed. The Inn’s location is perfect - walking distance to the best sights and restaurants in Monterey. The two hot tubs - one on the second floor where there is also a fire - and one on the fourth floor - were a really nice surprise. The wildlife and beautiful water views were lovely. I highly recommend staying here!

From our arrival to check-out, everything was perfect. Merl was wonderful at check-in and out. The room is nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable, the bathroom has plenty of storage, and the view of the bay is gorgeous. It’s location is perfect in between Cannery Row attractions and restaurants and Fisherman’s Wharf. The continental breakfast was fresh and delivered right on time. We would definitely stay here again!

This property is such a delight. All of the rooms have amazing views of the ocean and small harbor. The staff is wonderful. They have cookies at the front desk throughout the day, which is a nice touch. The private hot tub on the top floor Is amazing. And with an unobstructed view of the Pacific. Walking distance to everywhere, and you can even rent kayaks right next door. I highly recommend!

My wife and I visit Monterey often, but have never stayed in town. Monterey Bay Inn is a GEM! The staff there are very friendly and greet you every time you walk through the door. It was our anniversary and they complimented us with a bottle of wine and chocolates. We also had a free continental breakfast each day of our stay. They moved us to the 4th floor for a great view of the harbor. We didn't expect all this, and are very thankful for their hospitality. Our first day we never drove our car anywhere, because everything is within walking distance being (Cannery Row), shops, the aquarium, restaurants, Fishermen's Wharf, and walking paths. We will definitely be staying there again and again. Again, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

This was the first time we stayed at the Monterey Bay Hotel. We were offered a ocean front room and so happy we chose that option. Beautiful view nicely appointed room. Wonderful bathroom. Very quiet. Very close to Cannery Row and small park. Will definitely stay again. Convenient parking under the hotel.

We spent 2 nights at the Monterey Bay Inn in Monterey CA. It's a lovely, small boutique hotel at the quiet end of Cannery Row. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was on the 3rd floor with a view of the bay and a small park. We really enjoyed our balcony view. The room was large and comfortable. The bathroom was especially roomy and nice. I would love to return for another visit.

We had an absolutely wonderful visit to Monterey Bay, highlighted by our stay at Monterey Bay Inn. Excellent accommodations equaled by outstanding guest relations. Staff was friendly & knowledgeable. Enjoyed the Aquarium and scenic walks. Top off our stay with a night out at Sardine Factory, an iconic restaurant located off Cannery Row. We will return.

Beautiful view from ocean view room. Best part of stay. Room not stocked well for two. Not enough coffee soap etc. party next door until 230 am. Sounded like it was in our room. Very disappointed. Breakfast not worth ordering.
