We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. When we decided to extend our stay by an extra night, our harbor-view room wasn't available for the additional night, but they went out of their way to make it work so we didn't have to switch rooms. We really appreciated that! Parking was also very reasonably priced at $25, especially compared to other hotels in the area. The room itself was spacious, the bed was very comfortable (firm, just how we like it), and the harbor view was absolutely perfect. We were a little concerned after reading reviews about the sea lions being noisy, but we actually loved hearing them from the balcony! Once the balcony door was closed, we couldn't hear them at all, and they never disturbed our sleep. One of our favorite perks was the complimentary binoculars available to guests—they were a fun touch for watching the harbor. And don't miss the sunrise from the fourth-floor rooftop terrace—it's absolutely beautiful! There were just a few minor things that could be improved. The hotel only has one elevator, and it can be quite slow during busy times. We also wish the freshly baked cookies were available throughout the day. They were put out around 3:00 p.m., but they disappeared almost immediately because they were so popular. When we arrived, our room temperature was around 78°F. We called the front desk to ask about the A/C and were told someone would come up. Security arrived and explained that the hotel doesn't have air conditioning, so the options are to use the fan or open the balcony door. It would have been helpful if the front desk had shared that information when we called. We left the screened balcony door open while we were out the next day, and the room cooled down nicely. The only other thing we wished the room had was a microwave. Overall, these were very minor issues compared to everything we loved about our stay. The location, views, comfortable rooms, and outstanding customer service made for a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful room with an amazing harbor view.

Stayed here one night with the oceanfront view balcony and couldn't have been happier. Location is very central, views from the room were top notch, and staff was friendly and helpful. We got the breakfast served to our room which was basic but super fresh and very enjoyable. We enjoyed it so much we made a second reservation on our way back up the coast and had the panoramic harbor bay views this time around. Just as nice, but I did prefer the oceanfront view more for privacy. The harbor views are exposed to the walking paths and streets so it's not as secluded. The hotel staff even remembered we were there a few days before and was kind enough to send up a bottle of wine for a birthday as well, which was a great touch. Would highly recommend Also if you want to hear/see sea lions, you can't beat this location

The location was excellent! Right next to the water and a short walk from the aquarium. Beautiful view of the water from our room, and the view from the rooftop hot tub was even better. The concierge Michelle was super helpful and friendly! She gave us great recommendations and advice.

Great views from the room of the ocean. Love sleeping with balcony open and listening to ocean waves. Walking distance to all canary rd and the old wharf. Great location.

My husband and I drove the coast of California from Paso Robles to stay here in Monterey. After a long day of driving, we were thrilled to enter the building and hear they have upgraded us to partial ocean view. We sat on the balcony and enjoyed a relaxing view before dinner. It is centrally located near lot of activities, cafés, beaches, and more! I would like to also give a special shout out to Stacy at the front desk, who was so kind and greeted us and gave us food recommendations and things to do in the area. I would give this a five star review.

A perfect stay! We had stunning harbor views, an incredible complimentary in-room breakfast, and a wonderful staff who accommodated our room request. The welcoming cookies and birthday champagne were such nice touches, and parking at the nearby garage was easy. We enjoyed every minute of our visit!
